And just like that it was over. It was like finding out that Bruce Willis was a ghost in the opening scene of The Sixth Sense or knowing that Ed Norton and Brad Pitt were the same person when they had their first fistfight in Fight Club.
If you were tuned in to see the 41st running of the Breeders’ Cup Classic City of Troyyou knew the ending of this particular movie as soon as the opening credits ended.
How ironic really, considering the first trailer for this blockbuster came out over a year ago. It was after walking away with the Dewhurst last autumn that the idea first emerged, and from there we were carried away on a wave of wonder.
